Property sells faster in the South East

Data released today shows us the Dartford has the fastest selling properties in the UK. The average property sold within 16 days of going on the market. It was something that didn’t come as much of a surprise to us.

The data, compiled by rightmove, followed a trend similar to that of development projects that Hunter Finance had worked on in and around London. Commuter hot-spots sell houses, it’s that simple. Housing outside of central London can be up to half the price of those that are within the city, something that has had a strong influence on first time buyers who are keen to continue working in the city, but don’t want to pay the high rents of London.

We have seen similar trends with the developments that we have funded over the past few years. New properties built within commuter hot-spots, all of the south east, have sold quickly. Most are sold before they are even completed. That’s why in 2016 we have already provided initial funding for developments within new and up and coming commuter zones.
